Hi James,
I am guessing that I would have to buy the CD in order to find out
what Paul Carter has to say. I have invested way too much in this
already and it looks like I will be ordering more Wills, Probate, Etc. so
the cost does add up. I hate to buy a CD that may or may not help.
I do have access to the Miller book which has many mistakes in it,
but I don't see the Elby Bowman book at the Dallas Library.
I also looked over the archives, and I know there have been many
discussions on this line. But, many of them threw pieces of information
out there without any references or sources that I could find. That is
why I thought an organized discussion, without jumping around too much might
accomplish something. And....we could document the exact source the
information comes from. Does Elby Bowman list sources? Like I said, I
don't have access so I haven't seen his book.
Thanks, Kathy Wells.

Subject: VA Carters - William Carter & Mary Goodloe and other VA and Ky
Carters
This family was discussed in-depth in Elby Bowman's book, as well
as some
contradictions that arose based on the Mark Wheeler/Sarah Carter marriage.
Paul Carter takes Elby's arguments and analyzes them and comes up with
some
controversial conclusions.
I know Paul put some of this on CD and it is located at
http://www.rarebookreprints.com/Carterfamily.html
