There must have been a lot of alien Carters. Mine, William D. Carter,
landed in Harrison County, Indiana early enough to marry Eleanor Lemmon in
October 1819...claimed in census records to have come from North Carolina.

sky
over eastern Tennessee. Only a few people saw it as there were very
few
inhabitants. The best we can determine, this happened in the few years
before 1806.

on the frozen earth. These people came well-equipped with wagons, food,
tools of trade, and even their livestock. In the days that followed, they
purchased with gold they brought some land and raised their families in a
dignified manner. They never mentioned how they were educated, but it was
obvious that a few of them would make good leaders, justices of the peace,
and religious folk.

was Carter. In late-1814 the Carters, especially McKinney Carter, and his
family left for Indiana where he once again bought land. His wife Rachel
had
given him 5 sons and one daughter: Matthew, Thomas W., Benjamin M.,
Robert,
Cullen Wesley, and Elizabeth.

a
bright light, their ancestry is probably out of this world. Perhaps
this
is
just a story and their real home was in Virginia and not across the
Milky
Way. But judging from the lack of records found to this date, I would
accept
a homeland in the skies just the same.

Virginia, would you please let me know. I would be grateful to know that
my
lineage wasn't grafted in by an alien species.
