Hi Jim,
Just learned that the "P" may have been for either Pinkney OR Pullium
because these two families intermarried from Spotsylvania area, VA or
Bedford Co, VA.
FYI - do you remember the recent murderer arrested with the name Pinkney
Carter here in Florida? Hope he isn't ours.
Sharon

Hi, Sharon,
I saw your message on Pinkney Carter. My great
grandfather was Tom P Carter. I found his world war I
draft card at the library and was surprised to lean
that the P was for Pink. It may have been short for
Pinkney but it must have been a family name. I haven't
been able to find any more Pink Cartes in my line but
I haven't been at this geneology work very long. Maybe
I'll find those other Pinks some day.
Jim Carter.
