Good Morning Linda,
Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. I haven't run across your
Barney/Bart in my searches. My brick wall is the ancestry of Barton Carter.
Have some info on them that I pasted on the CARTER list but got no response,
so I keep on searching.
Mary

Mary, I have no idea who my Barney/Bart Wilson Carter's parents
or
siblings wereor where they came from. My Bart Carter married Martha Sarah
Jane Adaline Dixon, b. Clay Co, Tn. His son John Henry Carter, B. 1879,
was my husband's grandfather.

Have a Barton Carter, born 1796 in NC (very very likely the son of James
Carter and Sarah Unknown) , he had a son, Isaac Bart Carter born Dec.
1837,
Isaac Bart Carter was called Bart. My Carter's left NC, Robeson Co., from
prob. VA., went to TN., KY., ILL., MO. (Barton died in Wayne Co., MO.,
bet.
1860-1870), then to ARK. Isaac Bart had a grandson named Wm. Bart, Wm.
Bart
had a grandson named Jimmie Bart and my grandson is named Dustin Bart.
Bart is a VERY common name in my Carter line. Are you by any chance of
my Carter line?
Mary
