Ditto....there were no '?' on my message from you either. By the way, I
was truly surprised that your Joseph didn't match group 2. I had really
hoped he would. There were so many Josephs in this lineup, and the fact
that Bailey and his son John were in Henry County also I thought surely he
lined up in that group. Oh Well.....I guess there were just too many
Carters even back then :~).
Kathy.

Dear Listers,
I am still looking for my Joseph CARTER who was born, somewhere, around
1750 and married Nancy Menefee in Henry Co, Va, 24 June 1778.
Descendants of Joseph & Nancy have taken the DNA test but we don't seem
to matche with other Carters. I am zeroing in on another Carter family
outlined below. Hopefully someone will recognize it.
I am hoping someone from this line joins the DNA Project so we will
know one way or another whether we might be related.
CARTER, George b abt 1719 East Bradford, Chester Co, PA Father:
George CARTER; Mother: Elizabeth TULL
George married Lydia WORTH b 22 Nov 1721, Chester Co, PA Father:
Thomas WORTH; Mother: Mary FAWCETT
The CARTERS were Quakers, but I have no way of proving that this might
be my line because George and Lydia's son, Joseph, b 5 Dec 1749, East
Bradford, Chester Co, PA, left, went to VA and married outside the
Quakers. I'm at a dead end. Cannot go forward from this family nor
backward from my Joseph CARTER who married Nancy MENEFEE in 1778 in
Henry Co, VA.
I have a lot of information on this the George & Lydia family but
nothing further on son Joseph.
If this family sounds familiar to anyone please respond and maybe by
checking families that surrounded these families we can come up with
enough similarities to act on. Or if someone from that line joins the
Project we would know one way or the other.
Help most appreciated.
Lynn Marion
