If they were cousins and had the same DNA, they would be in the same group,
not separate groups.

Holly,
Robert and Thomas may have been cousins and therefore would carry same DNA.

Subject: [CARTER] John Carter "Vintner of London" (d: 1630)
To which Carter line was John Carter "Vintner of London" (d: 1630) really
the ancestor?
Apparently his Will of 1630 names the following ten children:
01) George
02) William
03) John
04) Thomas
05) Robert
06) Anne
07) Elizabeth
08) Mary
09) Sylvester
10) Isabel
As I understand it, these ten children are all believed to be from his
first wife, Miss Benion (or Benyon), and not the children of his second
wife, Bridget. As I understand it, the children are believed to have been
younger than 21 years old at the time his Will was written in 1630 which
would indicate that all of the children were born after 1608.
Why is it thought that any of these ten children moved to Virginia?
John Carter "Vintner of London" has been claimed as an ancestor for both
Robert "King" Carter (Y-DNA R1b-32) and for Thomas Carter of Isle of Wight
County, Virginia (Y-DNA R1b-04) but John could not have been the ancestor
of both because they are two different Carter lines. Which one is
correct? Or are they both wrong?
