Sorry, I don't know anything about the Jesse Carter in Fayetteville, NC.
About the DNA question; I was told that the reason the CARTER-DNA list was created back in
2003 was because a lot of the members on this CARTER list objected to DNA discussions so I
have made a conscious effort to avoid the topic of DNA on this list. If you would like to
talk about DNA, please feel free to contact me off-list or post a message to the
CARTER-DNA list.

Subject: [CARTER] Jesse Carter, died 1853 Lincoln Co., Kentucky
Is anyone researching this Carter family?
Jesse Carter
born: about 1760 in North Carolina
died: 24 April 1853 in Crab Orchard, Lincoln County, Kentucky
Married four times:
1) MARY HAINES in Murfreesboro, North Carolina
2) SARAH DYEHOUSE 1812 in Crab Orchard, Kentucky
3) MARY SWORD 1833
4) ANNA S. WHITE 1836.
..................................
CENSUS: 1850 Northern Dist., Rockcastle Co., KY
Jesse Carter age 76 Farmer, Value of Real Estate $400, born NC
Anna age 40, born KY
John, age 12, born KY
Jesse, age 10, born KY
Francis M., age 3, born KY
..................................
If this age in the 1850 census is correct, Jesse was born around 1774 and not around
1760.
