"John is said to have lived and died in Guilford Co., NC."
I don't know the name Gann but I have a Giles Carter who lived in Guilford County,
North Carolina in the 1770's and later. I do not know if he ever married or had
children. I have tried to find more info about him but without luck.
(No known connection between my Giles Carter and the "famous" Giles Carter
married to Hannah who was friends with Capt. James Crews of Bacon's rebellion fame.)

Subject: [CARTER] Clement Gann
Seeking information on Elizabeth Carter who married Samuel Gann in the very early
1700's in Virginia, perhaps Frederick Co. Their son's Clement & John and
spouses are of particular interest.
In pre-statehood Jonesborough Tennessee, later Washington & Jefferson Co's, five
children Alexander, Henry bc 1800-1805, Jane, Solomon & Abraham, are documented
children of one Elizabeth Gann. No father is named since they are in bad conditions and
being indentured by the county courts system so its obvious that Elizabeth is widowed. In
the same area is Adam Carter Gann and his brother Nathan Gann. These are children of
Samuel Gann and Elizabeth Carter. Other childen include John, Nancy and Clement. I am
needing info that might lead to the children of Clement. John is said to have lived and
died in Guilford Co., NC. Nancy m. a Lemons and was in Hamilton Co., TN. Nathan and Adam
both died in Washington Co., TN.
Any help with Clement would be appreciated
