Hello list I am putting my brick wall out once again in hopes there are some
new listers who might have a link to this Carter bunch. My g-grandfather

I have a distant cousin on another side of my Carter family who is from the
Summitt side who said he saw a 1850 Tennessee Census, 5th Civil District,
Wayne county, enumerated on October 8, 1850 with this family who could
possibly be the parents of Michael but I have yet to find this because you
have to be a member of some site that he found it on. I will list it and
see if it connects with someone out there.
> JOHN CARTER age 30 M Farmer Born in Virginia
> ISABELLA age 27 F " " "
> JAMES age 10 M " " "
> MARY age 7 F " " "

told he went by Benjamin?

Hello Robert, I know so little about my ggGrandmother that it is very hard
to know if your names mean anything to me. I will copy them for reference
and wanted to write and Thank you for your help.
Elizabeth and Scott named their children: Olive Susan (my line), Sanra Laura
"Dora", Anna Elizabeth, Sarah J., and Willaim "Willie" S. I don't see any
of the given names giving a clue. All the children were b. in Dekalb Co.,
Missouri in the 1860's thru 1870's and the youngest, William b. 1879 in
Atchison Co., Kansas.
Both Elizabeth and Scott are buried in Wilson County, Kansas. She d.
27Dec1916 but her death certificate didn't list her parents names either.
Thanks again, Marie

Dear Anita,
Any chance you have the name, publisher, and publishing date of the book
where you found the Carter entries?
(As far as I know, they are not mine, but I so rarely see northern Carters on
this list that I don't want to miss this information in case I eventually
learn that my Carters came from Connecticut.)

Thanks, Marie

Are they related to the carters in GA.? I am trying to find my Phillips
and Carters connections. We were always around Carters and I was sure
somewhere in the lines we were related. Just can't prove it. The Carter
were in St. Louis in 1938 and in Illinois and Indiana by the late 1970's,
I do believe they had family and cousins named Frost, Brown, and
Kerstings. An connections?
