Hi Pauline,
I am from Isaac Carter's line. I did not know of your line. Can you
provide
any more info on your line. My Isaac is a bit mysterious and may be
connected.

Here is my line for reference.
Isaac Carter's line was fruitful and multipied. It seems that his seed
has spread
with the wind. My line did not fall to far from Pike county. We live in
Greensburg, La. in St. Helena Parish in SE La. There are several family
groups living here of 1st, 2nd & 3rd cousins.
Isaac Carter was born in Cumberland County, N.C. in 1764. His exact
birth date is not known. He was in the American Revolution and
according to his
pension application, he did not know his birth date and friends of his
brother (Brother unknown) had told him that he was born in 1764. I find
this strange and can only speculate as to it's meaning.
Other known information is as follows:
1) 2/5/1777 joined Continental Army for 3 years 15 days till 1780.
2) Married Elizabeth (Nancy) Young from Orangeburg District, S. C.
in 1780.

5) Resided in Cumberland County nearly three years after close on war.
6) Moved to Orangeburg District, S.C. till spring of 1810.
7) Moved hold family to Pike County, Miss. Territory
8) Died 3/24/1834.
