I've just checked and there is a Keziah for 1852 and several Violets which
might fit in

Subject: [Carter-UK] CARTER - SHROPSHIRE
My CARTER family are all from the Ketley Bank area of Shropshire and are
as
follows:
Thomas CARTER b 1826 married Harriet ? b c. 1827
children -:
Hannah or Emma CARTER b c.1851
John CARTER b c.1855
Keziah CARTER b c.1857
Henry CARTER b c.1859
James CARTER b c.1861
On the 1881 census it appears that Harriet is dead and only Thomas, Keziah
and James are living at home.
Keziah is my gt. grandmother and also on the census is my grandmother
Harriet aged 1. Harriet was illegitimate and Keziah went on to have
another
illegitimate daughter, Violet, born about 1886.
The years 1881 to 1901 are a complete blank for these three people. I
have
no idea where they were living, certainly can't find them in Shropshire.
I
have tried to find Violet's birthplace without success.
By 1901 Harriet and Violet are living in Manchester. Harriet married
James
BRENNAN in 1901. Again, no sign of Keziah. Searches for her birth and
death unsuccessful.
On her marriage certificate my grandmother Harriet names John CARTER as
her
father. I don't know how true this, maybe I shall never find out but what
I
would like to know is:
Birth and death date for Keziah
Birth date for Harriet
Birth date for Violet
Although, any information will be received very gratefully.
Many thanks and happy hunting to all.
