Thanks for the virus warning...there is a new mean one out there that was
mentioned on CNN. It 'got' our local Cincinnati flag company-so if you have
a flag on order it may be wise to call.. (Flaggs USA)
I found James Carter as Mayor of Batavia in Clermont Co. (over about 20
years!), and James H. Carter as a town official and James Carter 's (Sr)
son-in law-as Treasurer (Jesse Dustin) It was in the Newest History of
Clermont Co book.
Later James H. Carter's son-in-law -Alyett 'Rains" Allen listed as Marshal.
in 1866. Looks as if they kept the town 'in the family'! Joanna
With as much family genealogy information as I have stored in my computer, not to mention
how much time I spend on the internet researching, I consider the virus warnings very
valuable information! I cannot imagine losing 6 yrs worth of research because of ignoring
a virus warning from a concerned person because it's "off topic". And to
fend off comments, yes I do back my info up, but that's not the point. The point is,
keeping my system running to continue my research! Thanx Pat!
