A number of subscribers have changed servers and have new email
addresses. This does cause some confusion when you try to post with
your new address because you can only post when you are subbed to the
list. Computers are funny. When you tell them something, like your old
address, and then use your new address, they don't compute.
So, please when you change your address, resubscribe using the new one.
Don't worry about the old one because the computer will unsubscribe it
automatically after it bounces three times. If, however, you have two
addresses, then you need to unsub the old address to stop the mail
coming to it.
I am extremely busy and have eight mailing lists. So when all the mail
starts bouncing to me, I save it until the weekend to write to everyone
or to manually sub/unsub those who are having problems. Sometimes,
listers get impatient and frustrated and keep sending me mail but I just
don't have the time. I do the admin work usually on the weekend, sorry.
Thanks for you cooperation. PS, I am still doing Grittith's Valuation
Index lookups for all the counties in Ireland, except Co. Clare. Just
two at a time, however. Send surname, county and civil parish if you
know it. Please don't write me letters, I don't really have the time
and would like to spend it doing the lookups (I usually get about 20 per
week).
