I just subscribed to Carter North. I had been on Carter and all I was
receiving was southerners. A friend who is a Carter here in Maine told me
about this other list. My gr grandmother Angie L. Simmons (my aunt who is
100 years old, soon to be 101 says it is Angie L. not Angeline as I had
assumed a while ago.). Anyway, on the Simmons side I go way back to Leyden
Holland. Many connections with the Mayflower through these Simmons lines.
I don't have anything more on Catherine Burns. Wish I did. I'm assuming
she's from Waldoboro too as there are lots of Burns there. In fact there is
a Sarah Burns in the next generation also. I'm assuming that Wiliam Carter
II is your ancestor. If so I don't have his wife's name. I have a guess at
birth ca. 1790, and do not know his date of marraige or when he and she
died. I have one child listed, William III. and he had two wives. Rachel
Cox (3 children) and Sarah Ann Hatch (9 children). If this is right would
you please fill me in on what you have that I don't? I'll share mind with
you also. I have pictures of Wilson Chamberlain Carter and Angie L. Simmons
also.
Thanks Cuz, Sheila
P.S. what state do you live in, I live in Maine as you probably figured
already.

I have Angela L Simmon's parents as John Simmons and Catherine M
Burns.
Wilson Chamberlain Carter's father, James Carter, was the brother of my
ancestor, William Carter. I have quite a lot on the Carters and some of
the
Louds. Do you have much on the maternal lines? Barbara Barton.
