I don't get it! How can they both be from the king Carter family, yet their DNA
isn't even close??? I would venture to say they aren't both 'King'
Carter lines?? I was told on the 'Wells' DNA site, that if you are ONE marker
off when doing a 12 marker test, they could be up to 35 generations apart from each other.
And that is only one marker off.
I can see why I missed # 17720 as being King Carter lineage because it is a mess. I
wish someone could go in there and clean that up so we could see the lineage better.
At least put a line space between each name. I can't make heads or tails of it, and
I don't have enough time to print it and try to sort it out. I'm guessing they
have the 'proof' linking each generation? Does anyone know?
The other #14833....unless #17720 is wrong, then I would say # 14833 is not from that
line?????
Please help me out here. Am I crazy or is this not adding up?
Thanks, Kathy Wells.

Soooo, am I understanding this correctly. After looking at the DNA website
then, that no one has done DNA that actually has documented the fact that
they descend from Robert 'King' Carter??? I didn't see that Robert
anywhere, or did I just look too quickly? If he is there, which group is
it? Maybe we could label the groups, possibly with the oldest proven or
best known ancestor listed by the group number???

yes, the one that can be traced back to Robert'King' Carter,
is Henry
Faunltroy Carter. He's the name above Cary. He comes though John.. I don't
know why he didn't included his whole Genealogy on the site.
Ancestry.com
has it.
And Nancy, the Cary Lewis Carter, you mentioned, is supposingly ours. Yet
the age of Elizabeth Trueman Carter concerns me ? Seems she would be too
old to have had our Cary ?
