MARY,
You know we will need someone who can definitely prove themselves back
to Thomas Carter to do the DNA test before we will be sure of a match.
This might be difficult because those that can definitely prove their line,
might not want to pay to help others. And I would want to see the proof
they used before I really felt sure. My husband is on the 'Wells' DNA
project, and they have over 300 people doing the testing. We had to send
and list not only our line, (again it is my husbands line) but the proof we
used to prove the line. That way if there was a match, we would know for
sure it is correct. Out of 300, my husband only comes 'close' 23 of 25
markers, to one other participant who can't get any further back then we can
:~( . But we never give up. Eventually we will find something.
If nothing else, it has told me several lines NOT to bother looking at that
I had been interested in. So it might take a while before we will know if
we connect, and who to.
Possible cousin??? Kathy Wells.

I think we are descended from Capt Thomas Carter. Hope the DNA will
prove
it.

any of the following families? Please let me know if any of these people
will be part of your line. Thanks, kathy Wells.

gr-grandsons Henry Carter and David V. Carter went and lived in Barren co,
KY, and there was another Henry Carter family in Barren co, KY that were
born in Virginia; Possibly this Henry was a brother to Bailey Carter?

and
he was the son of Thomas & Katherine Dale. Hopefully the DNA
will help
solve these questions.
