Hope that flood of information helps. I find it useful to see where
the data originates, so I sent you what I had. If you have any
questions or need clarification on my notes, just let me know. I'm
curious about the TN connex and your research may help me with this.
Figuring out this jigsaw puzzle is quite the challenge.
Thanks,
Phil

Hi Phil,
Thank you for sending all this. I don't know yet how to tie Thomas
Merideth
in with Solomon et al., though the DNA link is there.
I'm working with another woman in brewing up a family for Solomon
at the
moment, complete with several siblings, but that data is too
speculative to
share quite yet, I think.
When it's a little more solid I'll send it to you.
Thanks again,
Julie

Hello Julie,
Possible match as a brother or cousin of Solomon?: all the info I
have on Thomas Merideth Carter (spelling of Merideth is taken from
tombstone, but could have other spellings) is in the notes below
(blue represents action points or things to verify).
From DNA testing, I believe there is a TN connection, but haven't
made the exact connex yet. Either we share a common ancestor or, for
some unknown reason, my Thomas Carter was born in TN and claimed SC
as his birthplace. I have found no solid records for him in SC
during that period as Census records don't cover that during that
period. My GGFather "showed up" in Pike Co, GA Census records in the
1850 Census married to Louisa Fletcher. Before that it's all
speculation with mixed records.
The closest reasonable record of TMC's father is not in TN, but in
Pike County GA in 1830, believed to have been drawn there by the 1827
Land Lottery. Is there a time period "hole" in your family records
that might match that? Pike Co Carters for the Lottery are listed
below:
