Dear Group:
The results are in for #22975 and he matches 18747 on all 12 markers. We do not have a
tree for 18747 so it is not possible to tell who their common ancestor may be.
Below is an excerpt of an email I received this week. If any one has information on these
Carters please let me know and I will get you in touch with the author.

I have limited information on the Carter Side of my family as my Great Grandfather Henry
Carter, was killed in a farming accident April 6, 1885 and my Great Grandmother Nancy
Ellen Jerden Carter, 1860-1931, remarried.
We have searched records and find 1850 Census listing William Carter with wife Malinda and
children Willis 12, William R. 9, Mary 7 Carol 4 Nancy 3 and Henry 9 months and 1870
Census listing Wm Carter, wife Melinda, and children Carroll 22, Henry 20, Sara 16, Eliza
14, Martha 11.
We also found the Marrige Record for Wm Carter and Melinda Dodson Carter with written
permission from
Meliinda's father, Willis Dodson for her to marry.
I have a Joseph Carter and Elizabeth (Betsy) last name unknown as probable parents of
William Carter but not varified.
Does this tie in at all in your Carter lines?
