Welcome Jeremy, I, like you, have Carters scattered all over the place and
have brick walls to tear down. My Carters are from northern VA. from the
early 1800s and possibly PA. from late 1600s, but I have to find the keys.
Good luck on your adventure.
John Carter

Subject: [CARTER-DNA] Hello
Hello all,
My name is Jeremy Carter. I found out about this site through my cousin Judy
(Kesterson) (Carter) Solis. We do not actually have an exact name for our
oldest Carter ancestor. He is possibly James Carter of Anderson County,
Tennessee, but it is indefinite. She has bean searching for over 10 years I
think to find her (deceased) husbands grandfather. I've just started my
genealogy research a few years ago. Her husband's grandfather and my great
grandfather were brothers. We are also related through a bunch of other
families but that is another topic. So I just decided to join this list to
see what it is like, what you guys discuss, and so forth. Also, if she's
already here, I apologize for repeating what you probably already know.
Thanks,
Jeremy Carter
