An interesting fact that you may be overlooking in working with census records is that
Greene, Washington and Sullivan County were a part of the "Lost State of
Franklin" from 1784-1788.
I wish I had moreme to get involved with this, I am a direct descendant of John who built
the fort at Carter's Station in Greene Co. My father has repurchased this property.

The earlier message said she had been in touch with Owen researchers and
they have pretty good evidence that Mary Owen is not the daughter of Worret
Owen but that she is his sister. This evidence would mean that Mary Owen is
the d/o John Owen and Mary Patrick O wen. She had been unable to contact
Jack A. Moore, Elva Carter, Iona Lauer and Stanley t. Carter, who connect
with this line.
It just seems that any family that has a Cyrus in it has to be related.
