Right.
My husband's ancestor (Solomon; Kit 89246) is in Group 4, so I have been
trying to find a way to tie him to the other Carters in Group(s) 4, but so
far the family trees of all those closest to him seem to fade out around
1815-1825.
I thought I had found a father for Solomon in a Frederick Carter, born 1769
in VA, based on information I found at
familysearch.org, but I haven't been
able to find any confirmation of that information anywhere (and people in
Wilson Co. TN who have researched the family seem to be very doubtful that
Solomon was one of Frederick's children).
So anyway ... thanks for keeping things up to date, Vickie.

You are correct. Group 4a all have the same value on marker 439. Looking at
it I probably could have split group 4 into 2 groups. The more I look at
this the more I see. The only way to know for sure if they are related is if
they both share a common ancestor that they can find.

Hi Vickie,
I notice that you divided Haplogroup R1b/Group 4 into Groups 4, 4a, and
4b.
I guess the thinking is that the people in those groups are still
related,
but some more closely than others?

Dear Group:
I have added results for #50660 (13-25 markers) and results for 101198
(13-25
markers).
I have also color coded haplogroups on the results pages based on whether
they are
tested or estimated. (I haven't finished the index page yet) In
working on this I found that the estimates in the test results page (where I
can see every participant on one page) at family tree DNA don't always match
the ones on your individual pages. And I don't know why. But I wanted to
show who had theirs tested. It doesn't change your results or your matches.
