We were all pioneers when you got us started on this project. We were
thrown
off the Carter mailing list with our talk of DNA. Some could not
understand
how testing your DNA could have anything to do with genealogy. Times have
changed in the last four years, haven't they? Everyone who has ordered a
test kit and shared their family information deserves a big thank you for
what they have contributed to the project.
Your results are at
www.ysearch.org and you have many 12 marker matches -
with different surnames. To see them go to your page at Family Tree DNA
and
on the left is a yellow box with Y search on it. Sadly, you have no 25
marker matches at Y-Search.
To everyone - if you are not seeing the matches you are expecting, go to
your page at Family Tree DNA and check your user preferences. Make sure
you
have checked that you want to see matches set against the entire database,
not just your surname. If you have several matches within your surname you
will probably just want to see matches within your surname.
