I have had the same thing happen with my Y-DNA kit for my Dad. Vickie was
able to give me an explanation but she is on vacation right now. You are
NOT a match to this person by today's standards (close relative), except
that several centuries ago, you may have the same grandparents, IF I am
remembering this correctly. I hope this helps.

I've actually run across a problem with the DNA testing that has
yet to
be resolved. Our kit #14743 is a match under the Y-DNA search for ID:
NGSUN which was submitted by a man with the surname Price who claims he
does not have any Carter's in his family and yet he is an exact match to
our kit and kit #16394.
Another kit holder has told me that there was two different results for
their kit..one result on the 12 marker test, and then a different one
when they upgraded to the 25 marker test.
Anybody else run across any anomalies???
