Not sure if my message made it through previously. I wanted to correct some
of my earlier info.
I intended to reference >Thomas< & Celia Carter (ages 68 and 65), who were
living in Rutherford County TN for the 1850 census.
The 1850 census says this Thomas was born in VA in 1782.
Celia Carter, age 75, was living for the 1860 census with a Brewer family
in Rutherford County.
Anybody know who this Thomas's parents were, or if he could have had a son
named Solomon born in Wilson Co. TN in 1813?
Thank you,

Speaking of group R1b-04, I am still trying to figure out for sure
who the
parents of my late husband's ggg-grandfather were: Solomon Carter, b. 1813,
Wilson Co., TN. (Test kit 89246)
My most recent guess: John & Celia Carter, who were living in Wilson Co.
for the 1830 census. A 75-year-old Celia Carter later lived with Solomon's
oldest daughter, Nancy Carter Brewer.
I believe Solomon's parents most likely came to TN from VA via NC.
I have corresponded with the owners of some of these test kits but not
with all of them. Anybody have additional info relating to this John/Celia
Carter or this Solomon? Thank you.
