Subject: [CARTER-DNA] John Carter, the Vinter of London d 1730 (Descendants)
Thomas Carter of Isle of Wight R1b - 04, Thomas Carter of Barford
R1b -
02 and John Carter of Corotoman R1b - 32 are not closely related. Some
have tried to tie one or more of these families to John Carter, the Vinter
of London d 1730. Some of this is based on the assumptions these families
are related with all the attached cousin and/or uncle speculation. If you
accept this notion without considering scientific Y-DNA evidence you are
already in a sand trap on your family genealogy.
In reference to this particular page below:

Robert “King” Carter and his father John Carter of Corotoman are not
related to Thomas Carter of Isle of Wight per Y-DNA evidence. The
connection of the two families in the literature are based on the
assumption these families are related. Both families CANNOT be descended
from John Carter, Vinter of London died 1730.
See Carter Lineage Groups R1b - 02, R1b – 04, and R1b – 32 in the Carter
DNA project.
