i,
Thanks for the reply. The reason I am asking about "R1a" is because I am trying
o find the Y-DNA Haplogroup of Giles Carter, Sr. of Henrico County, Virginia
nd from the limited information currently available, my best guess is that he
as "R1a". Giles Carter of Henrico County, Virginia is one of the five
"Carter
atriots" named by The Carter Society.
Has there been any suggestion that your Carter family could be from or related
o Giles Carter of Henrico?

I'm in "R1a." Have some info going back to David Carter, Sr, born in East
New
ersey, but research was done by other family members.
