Probably not news to you but there is a book printed in the 80s by the Bond
family of Texas chronicling the entire family of Alexander Carswell and
Isabella Brown that is certainly a possible connection to the info you have
mentioned here. It all centers around Hephzibah, Georgia and the Carswells
of Burke County, Georgia.

Have found the grave of Mrs Jane Carswell, Consort of Edward Carswell,
Died Oct 23,
1834, Aged 74 years (year of birth would be about 1760)
Jane is buried at Charles Clark Family cem. in Burke Co., GA. (not far
from
Hephzibah, Richmond Co., GA.).
I have been told that Jane's maiden name was Trimble.
Edward and Jane's dau, Eleanor Carswell (1781-1826), was 1st wife of
Charles
Clark (1782-1856)..(both are buried in Clark family Cem)
This would seem to be a match for Edward Carswell b. Dec. 1755, son of
Alexander b.
abt 1733 in Ireland and his wife Isabella b. abt 1732 in
Ireland. This info from your post of 11 Dec 2000 (Thanks for that info!!!)
I dont have any Carswells in my tree at all. But was trying to find
further info
on Edward and wife Jane as they relate to my Clarks...
Have info on many Carswells in Hephzibah City Cem. in Richmond Co., GA.
Which is
not far from the Clark family cem in Burke Co...(Note it has to be
either Richmond Co or Burke Co GA there is no Richmond, Burke County, GA as
you have in you post..)
Let me know if this is a match and if you have more info on Edward?????..
If I can git any addition info(or Cem Photos) for you let me know...I live
in
Hephzibah, Ga. (Right next to Augusta, Richmond Co., GA. and also Burke
Co.,Ga.
