If you check the dates, you will notice that Azor Carswell was born in 1865
towards the end of the Civil War so I quite doubt his injuries came from
being in the war but, if anything, as a result of injuries as a baby,
perhaps injured as a result of the war going on around him.

I need help on Azor Carswell, b. April 17, 1865 d. April 23, 1898 and
buried at
Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Burke Co., NC. Azor
married Sarah Butler. After Azor's death, Sarah married Peter F. Buff on
Feb. 12, 1905 in Burke Co., NC. To my knowledge, there is only one living
child or Sarah & Peter, and he is in his mid to late 90's. Who were the
parents of Azor Carswell. Who were the children of Azor and Sarah? For
some reason, I want to think that I heard Azor fought in the Civil War and
his death was due to injuries he aquired during his service. I could be
mistaken on this point, but for some reason, it comes to mind. Any help and
information that can be shared would be very much appreciated.
Thank you for your time,
Vicki Buff Quillan
