"An Untimely Death"
Hago Carsten, of Lowell, who was severely burned last Monday afternoon, died on Wednesday,
and hardly reached the prime of life. He was cleaning furniture upstairs inhis home with
gasoline, which from some unknown cause ignited - it is thought by friction- and if help
had not been nearby he would have been cremated and the house burned at the time. He was
taken out all ablaze by Ed Clark and Roy Daum, who also saved the house and although it
was believed that Mr Carsten was badly burned and it was thought that he would recover up
to a short time before his death. Mr Carsten was a trustee of the town of Lowell. He
leaves a wife and two young children.
