John Carson's will, probated in BedfordCounty VA in 1762, gave son Ezekial land in
Buckingham County(created from Albemarle County in 1761) joining Alexander Davidson's.
Son John was bequeathed:
“the Lower part of my Land on[W].... Island [Creek] Beginning at the West Side of my Line
&Runing too & Down ye S[__] Branch Eastely where it goes unto myfeild &
Emptyes it Self into ye Creek below my house Where I nowLive & up ye Other Side along
that Branch Between ye Old house &ye New forty poles & Then Eastley [__] to the
out Line JoiningPhillipses [__]
Son Thomas (Revolutionary Tommy)received “[__] part & Remainder of Land & place I
now Live”
Apparently son John Carson added to theproperty with a 1780 patent from then VA Governor
Thomas Jefferson.

Where was Ezekial Carson's land, andwhat happened to him?

Was John & Thomas' land on WreckIsland Creek at its conflux with North Creek, then
in BuckinghamCounty and since 1845 in Appomattox County. Has anyone a solidoutline of John
Carson, Jr's family. Apparently he had two wives. Further, it seems that James W
Carson (1806-1880) inherited/boughtmuch of the property. Were there others?

The original John Porter's 1762 willwas witnessed and proven by James Carson. Was this
the same JamesCarson who died 1814 and is buried in Concord Cemetery? What was
therelationship?
