I am looking for a Joseph Carson, born somewhere in Penn. around
1810 or 1815. He worked as a cooper. Sometime before 1844 he
moved to Baltimore, and stayed there until about either 1867 or
1879 (or maybe he moved back and forth more than once), when he
moved to around Fairfield, Adams Co., Penn. His wife Catherine
died in 1878, and is buried in Baltimore. By 1880 he had married
Mary. He had a number of children, including Georgeann, George
W., Mary E, Joseph C., Anna, John B., Benjamin F., another Mary,
and Jacob.
I am really looking for a David Carson, born around the same
time, possibly in Penn., also a cooper, also moved to Baltimore.
David's descendants did have relatives living near Fairfield.
I strongly suspect that David and Joseph were brothers, although
I have no proof. Since I have had no luck tracing David, I
thought I would try Joseph, on the assumption that they were
brothers.
