I don not believe these Carsons are related. The Robert I was talking
about was my Uncle and none of the names you mention falls into place.
Besides I know that he did have a son named Robert. In fact, both of
his sons were named Robert.

I was excited when I read your title---I have a Robert Carson supposedly
married to a Margaret, however they were in the Augusta Co. area in the 1700's. I
know this Robert Sr. had a son Robert Jr. who did not have a son Robert.
There was another son named Joseph who was married about 1789 that might have had
a son Robert that could have been yours. I descend from these Roberts and
Junior moved to the area of Lewis County now W. Virginia sometime in the
early 1800's I hope this may help you in some way. Jackie
