Is anyone on this list working on the Prine CARSON family? I'm mainly interested in a
Annie Carson, my 3rd great paternal grandmother, who I think is Prine's sister or
related to him in some way. I'm searching for her death date and names of parents.
Since women's lines are so hard to trace, I thought I would try Prine's and see
where I get.
Prine was born about 1790 and Annie abt 1794 in Pa.
Prine was married to Margaret GREGG bn. Pa., daughter of James and Martha CORBITT GREGG
who were born in Northern Ireland. Prine and Margaret had the following children:
Abner b abt. 1827, Maggie b. abt. 1829, Oliver b. abt.1839, Charles, Frank, and Julie -
the ones I know about. Per the 1840 Pa. census they were living in Loyalhanna Twp.,
Westmoreland Co. Prine doesn't appear in the 1850 census but Margaret does still
living in Loyalhanna Twp. and next to her brother and sister-in-law Joseph and Matilda
CRAWFORD GREGG.
Annie CARSON GREGG marries Henry GREGG, son of James and Martha CORBITT GREGG, Oct 22,
1818 Derry Twp. Westmoreland Co., Pa. [My source on the marriage is: Westmoreland County
Marriages & Deaths from Weekly Newspapers 1818-1865 Vol. 1 by Fischer, Gregg, Henry
& Ann Carson both Derry Twp. married 10-22-1818 by John Shaw Esq. (10-31-1818).]
Henry and Annie have the following children: James, Ane Maria, Nancy Jane, Margaret F.,
Joseph Carson, Emily H. [my 2nd great paternal grandmother] and Samuel T. In the 1850
census Henry and Annie are living in Jefferson Township, Allegheny Co. and he is a miner.
By 1860 I can no longer find Henry and Annie so I'm assuming they must of died.
A now deceased relative traced out the GREGG line so I have more on that family if someone
is interested.
Any help on this family is appreciated.
Thank you,
