As Stephanie mentioned, I'm a proponent of YDNA testing because it helped me
sort out my Carson paternal line. She and I have been comparing our Carson
research for years. So, any time I notice a male Carson doing research, I
mention that option. I'm especially interested in Carson lines in
southeastern PA and northern DE, NC and eastern TN in the 1700s and early 1800s. The
YDNA shows some connections among Carson lines in those areas, so the more
participants, the clearer the answers.
Thanks,
Gary

Also just wanted to mention that I know Gary and I both plug the Y-DNA
research. I wanted you to know that I am a volunteer coordinator and Gary is
just an enthusiast for the the Carson line (though he volunteers as a
coordinator on other surnames). Pedigrees and results are FREE and available to all.
It just costs money to do your OWN test.
Here's a link to the pedigrees and Y-DNA tests are noted, if there is one.
y-Results are a link at top if you'd like to see those. They can be
confusing at first, takes a bit of schooling! :)

I just tried doing a search on the Clan Carson web site to
find a specific
Carson name. The web site requires 5 lbs for a 30 day
subscription. There was
no "free" information of value. So, it is
obviously a commercial venture,
which I believe violates Rootsweb policies.

This is your website which charges a fee, yes? This would
be considered a

You have done this
repeatedly. I have not seen you offer specific help, only
a general plug for
your website.
