Subject: {not a subscriber} Carson family of Casey County, KY
Hi All,
I am looking for information on Littleton Graham b. 1799 KY,
married Catherine Carson b. 1804 KY, in 1822 in Casey Co., KY
and they had the following six children:
1. Riley b. 1828 m. Elizabeth Jane Wilson b. 1836, in 1853
In 1860, they are living in Prairie Twp., Washington Co., AR.
2. Minerva b. 1830 m. Stephen Gardner Tankersley b. 1825, in 1850
in Lincoln Co., TN. They also moved to Washington Co., AR.
3. Cerena b. 1832 m. James Alexander Tankersley b. 1830, in 1850,
in Lincoln Co., TN. They also moved to Washington Co., AR.
4. Clarinda Ann b. 1835 m. John Calvin White in 1856.
5. Louis b. 1838
6. Adeline b. 1840
I believe the father of Littleton may be James Graham b. 1754 d.
1837 of Casey Co., KY. James appears in the 1830 Census Casey
Co., KY, living close to Littleton. James received a couple of land
grants in Casey Co., in 1815. There were also several Carsons
living near the Grahams in the 1830 Census.
By the 1840 Census, Littleton had moved his family to Lincoln Co.,
TN, where they were still living in the 1850 Census. There was a
Mary Graham living nearby.
Sisters Minerva and Cyrena Graham married two Tankersley
brothers, Stephen Gardner and James Alexander in 1850 in Lincoln
Co., TN. Both families moved to Washington Co., AR where Stephen
died. Minerva then moved to the Indian Territory, OK, with two of her
children. James and Cyrena remained in Washington Co., AR until after
1880, when they moved to Decatur, Wise Co., TX and then to Forth
Worth, Terrant Co., TX. Their brother Riley Graham went with them to
Washington Co., AR, where he met and married Elizabeth Jane Wilson
in 1853 and they settled in Prairie Twp. Their sister Clarinda Graham
married John Calvin White.
I found the following Deed that mentions a James Graham along with
