Gary,
Have any proven descendents of "the Kit Carson" taken the DNA test?

To all Carson males:
I just ordered a male Carson Y-DNA test (the 37 marker for greater accuracy)
that I hope will help sort out my Carson connections in PA. I'm challenging
other male Carsons to do the same. The more of us that do it, the more valuable
my doing this will be. I may charge my cousins $25 each to cover the cost!!

So far, I've traced my Carson direct line in these locations:
Scotland/Ireland (probably)
Lancaster Co PA 1740s - 1750s
Cumberland Co PA 1760s(probably)
Caswell/Guilford NC 1770s
Washington Co NC/VA and Washington TN 1784-1799
Buncombe NC 1800-1810
Haywood NC 1820-1840
Union GA 1850 (and Macon/Cherokee NC)
Coryell TX 1851-1854
Jackson NC 1854 - 1860s(got disillusioned with Texas)
Barbour AL 1850s-1874
Washington Co TX 1874-1879
Mills Co TX 1880-1917
Los Angeles California 1917-1920s
Texas 1930 and later
Today, most Carson branches in my direct line are in California and Texas. Of
course, some are still in the counties in the sequence.
Gary Carson
