Joe's message reminds me that it's time to repost the information about my
own CARSONS. Some of you may have seen it previously, but I've added some
surnames associated with the family - - just in case it strikes a chord with
someond. And I've included the lineage with who begat whom for newcomers . .
I'm researching my CARSON & GILCHRIST connection to the ALLISON & GIFFORD
families of ERIE County PA, some of whom moved westward along the lake into
the OH Western Reserve of Lake & Geauga Counties, beginning in the 1790s &
very early 1800s.

- This couple crossed the mountains in the 1790s, settling in Lake Pleasant,
in what would become Erie County PA.
- Their son William B ALLISON was b. in Lake Pleasant, 18 Jan, 1808,
later marrying . . .
- Harriette Henrietta CARSON b 1805, Wattsburg PA, daughter of John CARSON
