Recently found this post to the list, and am very curious to learn more about this David
Carson.
My second great-grandfather was James Carson, and according to the archived records for
the Allegheny Cemetery, Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co., PA, James was born in Carlisle, PA in
1800. I have searched for his parents and siblings for over 20 years, and have nothing
further about his ancestry.
James is next seen with his marriage to Mary Geer, 1828 at the Trinity Episcopal
Cathedral, Pittsburgh. Two daughters were born to this couple in Butler Co., PA, 1831 and
1837. He is next found in the Harris City Directories, 1844 and 1847, as well as the
1850-1860-1870 Allegheny Co. censuses.
He died in 1875 in Allegheny City. His occupation was an inn keeper and merchant.
I would be grateful for an leads, suggestions, or ideas to further this search.
