Hi Cousin, albeit very distant. This Carson family begins with
Walter and Agness Carson who are in Chester Ct. by 1729 (on
tax record). Walter Carson is related by blood (whether brother
or cousin is unknown but letter confirms they are relatives) to
Samuel Carson who married first Jane Patterson, living in
Chester Ct. same township by 1725. Your line comes from
the son of Walter and Agnes Carson, John Carson who moves
to North Carolina, Rutherford Ct. circa 1778 if I remember
correctly. I don't have time at the moment to dig out all the
info on John Carson's family (married Mary, unproven that
her last name was McFarland) but will do so in the next
couple of weeks. Classes begin tomorrow so I'm pretty
busy.
Walter and Agnes Carson were the parents of Agnes Carson
who married Henry Maxwell.
