Thomas,
Thanks for the clarifications. The York and Lancaster Carson lines may
connect. When were George and Joseph born in York PA?

Thomas,
There are several older George Carson individuals in these areas of PA. A
George Carson is in Lancaster 1770-77 records. He is executor of John
Carson's
will 1777; John Carson's will mentions a son George also, so this
older
George
must be John's brother. A George married 1736 Londongrove, York
PA, a
George
Carson died 1747 Marlborough, Chester PA, a George Carson will 1759
East
Marlborough, Chester Co PA (had a son George also). There was a younger
George
who shows up in 1798 Greene TN and a George in 1826 Buncombe NC (near
some
of my
Carsons).
Yours could be the on mentioned 1771 by John Carson in his will (his son).
Thanks. I should have mentioned that my George moved to
Baltimore sometime before 1820. His sons, Joseph and David,
moved to Fairfield in Adams Co. in their old age, and are buried
there, though their wives are buried in Baltimore. George got
married in York Co. That, plus Joseph and David moving to
Fairfield, lead me to believe that George was born in York,
although I have no direct evidence on that point.
