Hello,
The Carsons from Tippah County, Mississippi are my direct line.
Unfortunately, most of them have passed on. I do recall my mother
talking of a Hattie Carson. I believe she was a sister to my
grandfather William Edgar Alonozo Carson. He was more noted by the
name: Edgar L. Carson. I will try to call an aunt that is still living
and see if she can fill me in. I know this isn't much help, but maybe
it is a lead. Good luck on your brick wall.

No Arthur or George Carson on the 1920 census index for South Dakota. I
don't have access to the 1930 index.
Thanks... I've got access to
Ancestry.com and could not find him in either,
it really is becoming a bit frustrating... I also couldnt find Bill in the 1930
census, he would have been 4 yrs. old.

I am searching for any information on Hattie S. Carson, born abt 1876. According to
census records she and her family were born in MS. At some point she was in the Benton,
Tippah, Marshall Co area. She married Frances Martin Mathis and had one child, Wheeler
Mathis. Later she married William Summerfield Houston, my ggrandfather.
We know she may have died about 1907. They had two sons, Arthur Mitchell Houston and
Emery Morris Houston.
She died soon after Mitchell's birth. It is believed she was buried in Hon, AR. Any
info on Hattie would be appreciated. Have met a brick wall.

I don't know if this will help, but Hon is in Scott Co. AR. Perhaps you could post a
query to that county list or search cemeteries there. There are two Hon Cemeteries in or
near Hon and also one named that in Johnson Co. AR.
