Patricia,
The Margaret Carson who married John Reed I think was born in 1760 (a little
younger) per some postings of descendants. If so, she was born a few years
later than David's daughter born 1754.
I think this Margaret in Guilford was most likely a daughter of the Robert
Carson who was in Guilford 1779, around the time she married John Reed. He is
the only Carson household I've found in the county at that time. I think
this was the Robert Carson who married Margaret Woods 1755 back in Lancaster
PA. Margaret Woods was a sister of Sarah Woods who married David Carson. A
Robert Carson shows up on Belues Creek in Guilford NC 1779 living near William
Woods (brother of Sarah and Margaret), Andrew Hannah and John Strain (Woods
and Carson in-laws). A Robert Carson had earlier moved to Orange/Caswell near
David Carson c1765, and I think this is the same Robert from PA, and likely
a brother or at least a cousin. Later, deeds refer to Robert Carson being in
Caswell NC (formerly part of Orange) on the S. Hyco near where David and
William Carson from Lancaster PA in 1778. Moses Carson was also on that river
on the Orange county line. At that time, Guilford and Caswell were right next
to one another.
Several Carson females (specifically Elizabeth and Mary) who married at
Buffalo Presbyterian 1770s in Guilford appear to be daughters of these same
Carsons. There was also a Rebecca Carson.
Where Robert ends up isn't certain. A Robert was in Washington/Greene TN
with David, William and Moses 1784, and may be the same one. A Robert and
Margaret sold land in 1780 in Rowan/Iredell NC (possibly the same one also).

I am interested in the Margaret Carson born 1754 did she happen to
marry
John Reed in Guilford Co. NC late 1700s?
