Hi Josette.............sounds great to me.!
I have exactly two Carsons so far..........I have Margaret Carson (b.
Nov.1762 , NC ; d. May 1829 , TN) who married 5 Mar 1779 at Guilford Co.NC
to John Reed (b. 7 Oct. 1757 , NC ; d. 13 Sept. 1813). William Carson was
surety for their wedding bond. Willi Dent was witness.
Any connections...........??

Subject: [CARSON-L] Assistance perhaps
I am embarking on a project of creating a data base
of Carsons in the Colonies out of frustration because
they have so many Williams, Johns, James, etc.
In any event, there are 126 carsons who are listed as
heads of households in the 1790 Census. I'm working
with ancestor files of the LDS as a starting point
trying to begin with the immigrant Carson, the
1790 census and matching the two over time.
So, if you'd like to help me in this endeavor, if
any of you have information on the immigrant Carson
and descendents born during the 1700s, I'd love
to have the information - or any parts you happen
to have. If it isn't documented, then put a ? after
the date or place or whatever. If any of you know
for certain who an individual carson is in the 1790
census, please forward that information. THe datafile
entries will be name, birth date, birth place, wife's
name, birth date, birth place, parents names, birth
dates, birth places, childrens names, birth dates and
birth places and immigrant ancestory to whom they are
linked.
Anybody interested?
