Isaac Vanmeter was married twoce and his second wife made application for a
pension, supplying her marriage bond as evidence. This stated that "a
marriage about to be solemnized between Isaac Vanmeter and Jane Carson, for
whish a license is given this day, dated April 4, 1825," and was signed by
Isaac Vanmeter and Aaron Hart. She lived in Elizabeth Town, Hardin County,
at the time May 6, 1852-- saying that Isaac Vanmeter had died in Grayson
County, November 4, 1840. On April 12,1853, she had stated she was 67 years
of age.
