I photographed this gravestone in the Mount Olivet Cemetery - Alamo Lawn Section, Fort Worth, Tarrant Co., Texas. Feel free to use the picture for your personal records.

I've just re-joind the mailing list and am re-posting my interests, in the hope that somebody out there in cyberspace has any info that links with mine! (Personally, I'm beginning to believe MY Carsons must have been beamed down from another planet as I don't seem to be getting anywhere....!)
Known facts:
John CARSON, (my father) b. 04/11/1915 Longcroft, Haggs, Dunbarton (?); parents: John CARSON Snr(coalminer) and Margaret STEVENSON. There were a number of siblings including Margaret (Peggy), Jean (Jane), Martha, Violet and an adopted brother called Willie.
Margaret STEVENSON's father was apparently referred to as Manuel (as in Emmanuel, perhaps?!) and was employed in the dockyards, presumeably on the Clyde. According to family folklore he died in suspicious circumstances...!
If any of this rings bells PLEASE get in touch - I can find no other trace of any of these people!
Many thanks,
Sue

I am looking for info on Z. Laura Carson. She was born in AL. She married James Bennett Smith from TN. They had 12-13 children...one of them being my mother...Grace G. Smith Nix.
My grandparents died before I was born as did several of my mother's siblings. If you have any info on my grandparents please contact me. I would love to have anything.
Thank you very much.
