Anyone have information about the following:

m. Mary McFarland
Walter carson b abt 1730 Ireland, died 1789 Rutherford NC
M. Wary 6 Feb 1754 in Pennsylvania
Josette
Everyone seems to be reposting occasionally, so here is mine.....maybe
someone has joined the forum lately that has the link for which I am
searching......
Charles "Charlie" Jefferson Carson, b. 8/18/1847 in Ridgefield Cort, SC
(this info is from his son's [my grandfather] death certificate); died
2/23/1917 at his family farm located near Lamkin, Comanche Co., Texas.
Lamkin is very close to the Comanche Co/Hamilton Co. line so unsure if
farm was actually in Comanche Co or Hamilton Co. C. J. is buried at the
Toliver Cemetery in Comanche Co., Texas
He married on 5/6/1873 in Yazoo City, Mississippi to Martha "Mattie"
McIver, b. 2/17/1851 in Glasgow, Scotland. Mattie died 1/1/1941 in
Stephenville, Erath Co., Texas at the home of one of her daughters, Mrs. J.
W. "Lucy" Northcutt. She is also buried at Toliver Cemetery.
After their marriage in Mississippi, they took a wagon train to Texas....to
Jacksonville, Cherokee Co., Texas. They evidently lived there a while as
my grandfather, Charles "Charlie" Raymond Carson was born 6/27/1880 at
Odom, a community close to Jacksonville. I also have a voting list for
Cherokee Co with Charlie J.'s name on it.
However, I cannot locate C. J.'s death certificate so that I can find out
who his parents were. And, I have been unable to locate where Ridgefield
Cort, SC is or was.
Any clue or connection would be very much appreciated and would probably
make this old woman jump up and down......Thanks......

Hi again Josette.........I am so excited at the possibility of finding a
connection to my Carson line that I am a bit rattled.I am also subscribed to
the <Scotch-Irish-L(a)rootsweb.com > list ....the Reed line that my Margaret
Carson married into was Scotch-Irish (and my grandpa said we were
Scotch-Irish and English on his side...which these people were)...sounds as
if your Carsons are too...(Scotch-Irish being equivalent to Ulster
Scot)...low land Scots who transplanted to northern Ireland . At any
rate...there are some very knowledgeable folks there who should be able to
help you clarify some of the issues you mention in your
post.................good luck.............Malinda

Hi Josette....
Regarding my Margaret Carson (b.Nov. 1762, NC ; married 5 Mar 1779 ,
Guilford Co.NC).....I forgot to mention that a William Carson was surety for
her marriage to John Reed . They removed at some point to Logan Co. KY and
then on to TN
Two of the sons from this union were ministers with the Cumberland
Presbyterian Church system [ one of the grandsons was also ....and one of
the g-g-g-grandsons is as well... ]
I look forward to hearing from you.........Malinda

Researching Walter Carson believed born Ireland c. 1700
and his wife Agnes. Believed that Walter and wife plus
nephew Henry Maxwell came together to America, known
to have settled in Adams county PA (then called York)
buying land there 1743. Had daughter Agnes who
married Henry Maxwell, sons John and William (who
were in the Carolinas by 1783 - most probably
Guilford County NC. Alternative possibility is
that Henry Maxwell came from Scotland circa 1746
to Ireland with his uncle Alexander Carson and
then from Ireland to the America; possibility that
Alexander was brother of Walter who was already

they entered US through Maryland.
Anyone have any information?

Hi All,
I've recently found out that my Robert Harris married Sarah (Sally) Carson.
What I need to know is: are the two families listed below one in the same?
My James H. Harris appears to be the son of Robert and Sarah in the first
group. On the second group he is not listed but this is not unusal to me as
James was married by 1847 and this second group was taken from the 1850
census records of Augusta Co. VA.
Please Notice that the Robert and Sarah in both groups have the exact same
age.
Thanks
Julie
