Message Board Post:
I have recently found out grandchild #5 is on the way and my daughter
wanted a list
of all the names in our family. So I did a query on my famiy
file and this has brought some questions to mind on where the idea for some
of these given names came from.
CARDELL, this is the middle name of my Aunt Ellen Rouse. She passed away
in March
at the age of 97. She often told me she did not know much about the
family as her father died in 1921 and her mother did not talk much about her
family. Does anyone recognize this as a surname? Since we do not know her
grandfather's family, Thomas Arendall Heath, I wonder if this is a clue for
his family.
WOOTEN, My 3great grandfather, Joshua Rouse named is second son, my 2great
grandfather, Marcellous WOOTEN Rouse. Since we do not know anything aobut
Joshua's family, could the Wooten's be relations? His first son, William
Henry, lived only three months. Since these names are not found in his wife
Susan Caswell's family (William being the exception) I wonder if they can be
clues to Joshua's family.
