Jean,
Thanks for the notes. While I haven't yet found where it directly affects my
Line (still searching), there is good info here. If you feel there may be other
info on the disk, I would be happy to attempt to decipher the disk. You can
rather effortlessly send it to me if you wish. I'll explain how (easy) if you
would like to try. If I were to find anything not relevant, I'll return it to you
w/o disclosing it, copying only the Gen stuff.
To send it, simply click on 'reply' to this message, then click on the
'Attach" button (or find it under the File heading), then accept "File"
to
attach. Then browse to the a: drive (floppy disk). To browse, look to the top
window that appears, look to the right side and find the down arrow, click on it
to cause a drop down window, in which one of the options is something like 31/2
floppy A:. Click on this 31/2 floppy A: (If browsing to the a: drive is a
problem, send me your tel # direct and I'll call you).
Clicking on (maybe double click) a: drive, and it will give an option to
either open or attach. Accept the option, whatever it's called, and you are all
set. Just click on send and your browser will automatically read and copy/send
the contents of the a: drive as an attachment. You will still retain the
contents. If you want to guarantee the contents of the floppy/a: disk are
protected, insure the little tab(s) in the top corner(s) are set so that you can
see through it/them.
I apologize if you didn't need this verbiage, and for its length. Thanks
again for the info.

Hello Rosemary and other researchers, I would like to share some
information
with you on the Carruthers family. None of this is my research, it is from
notes done by a cousin that has since passed. He had planned on writing a book,
and after his death all his research was left with a wife who was not
interested and no one knows where the original records are that could site
sources or the line of descent. What I have is a copy of a disc made some years
ago it is in a form very hard to use, but there are a few gems to be had. I
have made no attempt here to place them into any flowing linage, hope to be
able to sort them soon. Hope these notes will be of some small help. Regards,
Jean Wilson
