Thanks for the advice. It was one day too late. I had been doing a Live
Update every week or so and I got the virus. After many hours of work and a
lot of help from Norton AntiVirus I am now clean.
The moral of the story is do an update EVERY DAY.
I did learn a few things. One, the new viruses don't have to be opened for
you to get infected. Just previewing them will infect your system. Second,
the BadTrans will automatically reply to every e-mail in your in box that
has not been read. That is how I got it. One of my contacts had not got
around to reading an email I sent to her on 29 July! Her computer did a
reply to all her unread mail. Ouch.

There is one way to assure that you will not get a virus:
1. Install Norton (Symantec).
2. Every morning, before you "GET MAIL" get on the Internet and run "Live
Update".
LiveUpdate checks for new viruses and for Norton Antivirus program
updates.
It takes little time, and one can be sure protection for the latest virus
is installed.
