Hi List, (Thanks again to Rita),
If someone might be interested in the Hannibal Mo "Drs (Carothers)
letters and records in a trunk found in Tacoma WA, " please email
buda(a)pacifier.com and make arrangements, or do the EBay thing.
Barry
PS: If no one else is interested, I would mail him a check for $12 and trust
him to mail it to me, if he accepted, altho I'm not connected to the
Fairmont Clark Cty MO Dr. Charles Carothers.

CIVIL WAR MEDICAL REPORT HANNIBAL MISSOURI 64
This is a Daily Morning report on the status of the Hospital station
Hannibal Mo. for Oct 28th 1864. This is a hand prepared report done on waste
paper. (if you recall, paper became hard to come by later in the war). It
was prepared by a Dr. Charled Carothers whos home was Fairmont Clark Cty MO.
The good Dr graduated from Western Reserve in Cleveland in about 1851,
settled in Fairmont, was a Dr. there, the Post Master, drygoods store owner
andmore. He served in the Union Mo 69th REg. and servered in both Warsaw
Ill, and Hannibal. The Drs letteers and records were in a trunk foundf in
Tacoma WA by a friend of mine. size 8 1///2 x 9". any questions, contact me
at buda(a)pacifier.com. add $2.00 for S&H in USA. I accept PAY PAL.

Hi Rita,
We would very much like a copy of the notes: "Civil War things (my
ancestors were in southern Missouri during that war) and saw a couple of
handwritten notes supposedly written by a Dr. Charles Carothers living in
Fairmount, Clark County, Missouri" or the Info you located enabling us to
access.
Thankyou so much for taking the effort to consider us. In return, in
case
you do more of this angelic witnessing (God Bless), if it is
important
enuff
for you to take your time, send it to the applicable RootsWeb Surname
List,
easily found at (Bookmark or Desktop Shortcut this for your ease of
finding
the right place to send it):
http://lists.rootsweb.com/index/
Don't worry if you get a msg back suggesting failure - the List Host (as
I
am for Carruthers (all spellings)) will still receive the msg. BTW,
you
can
easily access the Archives of any such Surname list by replacing the
operative term - here 'c/carruthers - see below, and then Browsing or
Searching the Archives, however here, there is no Carothers-L List. (:-o)

Again, Thanks. What is your surname of interest?
Barry
